Sam Feldt and Nicky Romero are heading to Dubai this month
Glastonbury may have been off this year, but there is a Dubai-based eco-music event to help fill the void.
Whisper it quietly... Summer is over. At last the insufferable heat has passed and we can fully embrace the great outdoors that makes the Gulf one of the best places to live in for six months.
First on the agenda is this month’s Corona Sunsets Festival.
Taking place in Dubai on October 25 to 27, the beaches of Barasti host chilled acoustic music vibes in the day, followed by banging parties as the sun sets. Oh, it helps that it’s free, too. The festival will showcase a sustainable pop-up bar — a first for Dubai — focusing on serving zero-waste cocktails.
Being a festival, the music isn’t bad either, headliners Sam Feldt and Nicky Romero will be playing fresh off the back of a blockbuster summer festival season (including stints at Mysteryland and the Ultra Music Festival) where they regularly rubbed shoulders with the likes of David Guetta and Calvin Harris.
Dutch DJ Sam Feldt also a great match for the event, as a big supporter of sustainability having made eco-positive changes to his own lifestyle — a nice little tie-in with sustainability underlying this year’s Sunsets Festival
We will see you on the beach. Wellies not necessary, flip-flops essential.
