Mark Wahlberg's daily routine is grueling
The daily routines of the rich, ripped and famous usually leave us feeling lazy and useless, making doomed plans to match their non-stop dedication. This is not the case with Mark Wahlberg.
The 47-year-old Mile 22 star shared his daily regime on Instagram following a request from a fan and, well…
Yep, that’s a 2:30am wake up. Followed by thirty minutes of prayers, some breakfast, a strenuous work-out and, most importantly, 90 full minutes in the shower (which we assume is freezing cold). That only leaves 30 minutes to play golf (crazy golf? One of those office toys CEOs use?) because he needs to fit in another hour and a half to eat a "snack".
Then comes the cryogenic chamber recovery session, obviously, followed by another snack and two hours of "family time", which includes meetings and phone calls. The rest of the day is spent eating and pumping iron, before he goes to bed, toddler-style, at 7.30pm.
Is this all an elaborate troll by Marky Mark? An arch piss-take of the smug, disingenuous daily schedules peddled by wellness bloggers and start-up CEOs? Probably not. His description of his unfathomable diet seems sincere enough, anyway.
"I start out with steel oats, blueberries and peanut butter for breakfast," he said. "Then I have a protein shake, three turkey burgers, five pieces of sweet potato at about 5.30 in the morning.
"At 8 o'clock, I have about 10 turkey meatballs. At 10.30am, I have a grilled chicken salad with two hard-boiled eggs, olives, avocado, cucumber, tomato, lettuce.
"Then at 1 o'clock I have a New York steak with green peppers. At 3.30pm, I have grilled chicken with bok choi. At 5.30/6 o'clock, I have a beautiful piece of halibut or cod or a seabass, with some vegetables, maybe some sautee potatoes and bok choi. And I have a lot of Aquahydrate during the day. That's it."
In fairness to Wahlberg, he’s miraculously managed to become the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. You know what to do, people.
