Tom Hanks wears the hell out of a suit
It's impossible not to love Tom Hanks.
A stellar career spanning almost three decades will do that for a guy. But have you ever thought of the 62-year-old as a style icon? Possibly not. And yet here is, in an example of classic tailoring as timeless as lines about life being a box of Milk Tray.
At the Tom Ford SS19 show in New York, Hanks used a hallmark of traditional suiting to make a statement - in this case, peak lapels - but remained age appropriate by swerving metallics and the heady, gold gilded sexiness normally associated with the designer. It's proof that a razor-sharp fit is all you need.
It's made all the more impressive by the fact the Sully star is a relative stranger to the world of front rows, flashing lights and gushing #influencers, and he's nailed it anyway.
