Donald Trump might lose his 'Walk of Fame' Star
It looks like Donald Trump's controversial presence on the Hollywood Walk of Fame could be coming to an end.
His star has already been pick-axed twice over the course of his presidency, and now the West Hollywood City council has voted unanimously to campaign for its removal.
They are urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to make the move because of the former reality show stalwart's "disturbing treatment of women".
"The City Council will consider adopting a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove President Donald J. Trump's star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, due to his disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, state, and country", the item stated.
They'll have a hard time convincing the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, however, who refused to remove Bill Cosby's star three years ago despite the multiple sexual assault claims that were brought against him.
In a statement, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce CEO Leon Gubler told the Hollywood Reporter: "The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark. Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk."
Still, one can hope...
