Rami Malik and new Bohemian Rhapsody trailer will rock you
The upcoming Queen biopic has been in production for what feels like forever.
There have been starts and stops and feuds and drama, but it's finally actually being released on Nov. 2. And today, 20th Century Fox released our most in-depth look at the film to date, which stars Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury.
As the description reads:
The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
While it's unfortunate that the film ends at the Live Aid performance, missing the singer's private battle with AIDS and death on Nov. 24, 1991.
Instead, this trailer focuses on the making of some of Queen's greatest hits—the recording of "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You," and the songs that made them one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
