Tailored for Luxury: Allium Villas Resort
The world can sometimes be a very busy place. Last-minute deadlines take a toll on both the mind and the body, the stresses of work have a tendency of following you home at night, and the frustrations of one week sometimes blend into the next.
In these cases, there’s only one thing you can do; ditch your busy urban live and venture forth into a serene paradise, a place where you can relax wholeheartedly – without a care in the world.
Of course, there are many places in the world that offer relaxation, but few that offer a bespoke and thoroughly unforgettable experience, and Allium Villas Resort is a great example of this truth.
The new property is the most luxurious hotel in Yalikavak, Bodrum on the Aegean Sea, seemingly custom built for visitors looking for the finer things in life (and on vacation). Indeed, it is the newest hotel in the area, and as such everything from the lobby to the rooms, the incredible spa facilities to the hotel’s incredible pool, are crisp, clean and new.
For those unaware of the paradise that is Yalikavak, it’s less than 500 metres from the iconic Yalikavak Marina, and boasts many fashionable brands, memorable dining and a vibrant nightlife. Once described as a tranquil sponge and fishing village, it has recently seen a large – but tasteful – investment, and now is home to a variety of shops and boutiques from some of the world’s biggest luxury brands.
Of course, what really sets this place apart isn’t the shopping, it’s the memorable sunsets which have an unbelievable power to render all those who gaze upon them speechless.
The property itself has 36 suites and rooms, all with beautiful panoramic views of the Agean Sea – designed to make your vacation a truly unforgettable one. Each room is decorated with natural materials, and each has a slightly different but elegant touch. Expect earth-toned colours that elegantly complement the splashes colour dotted about. What’s more, each guest can seamlessly move from room to beach, with direct access to the sea from each villa.
There are a few different types of room, from the Premium Garden – which boasts a spacious bedroom with direct access to your very own wooden decked terrace – to the Deluxe Marine, a beautiful room that provides guests with a unique view of the stunning cove that hides away the resort’s private beach.
However, our favourite room must surely be the Premium Azure Suite. This two-bedroom suite was designed to have not just a single terrace, but three. Each gives you access to a private garden, which can double as an entertainment space any time of day.
While there are various dining spots within the resort, Ayva Restaurant deservers a special mention. It serves up contemporary and regional Italian cuisine at its finest, all on its signature terrace that overlooks that island studded horizon. Each day restaurant staff visit the Yalikavak fish market to pick up the catch of the day, before transforming it into a selection of delectable signature dishes. Equally suited to romantic couples and groups of friends alike, you can order dishes to be placed in the middle of each table to be shared.
After dinner, it’s also worth visiting the Mandalina Bar – which provides guests an amazing opportunity to take in the gorgeous Yalikavak sunset in style, with a nice drink and tunes played live by famous DJs.
No luxury resort of this calibre would be without a world-class spa, and the same goes here. Allium SPA & Wellness offers a host of traditional Bodrum and Asian treatments, all of which performed by some of the most highly-trained relaxation staff in the region.
All in all, there are few places in the world that can match the raw, natural beauty of a stunning location, with the bespoke luxury of a world-class property like Allium Villas Resort. With the stunning village of Yalikavak close-by, the amazing private cove beach (that really must be seen in person to be believed), and rooms so comfortable you’ll want to stay forever, this must surely be paradise on Earth.
