The Moccamaster is the supercar of coffee makers
It’s bold, flash and arrives from Europe in Gallo yellow and there the comparisons with Ferrari do not end.
For the Moccamaster is surely the supercar of coffee makers: going from zero to full pot in six minutes, this handmade, freestanding, semi-automatic machine screams quality and has been acclaimed by design and coffee aficionados.
It maintains a precise temperature of 92-96°C, and looks like an absolute beast in otherwise bland environments (ie, your kitchen). Made of solid aluminium, it comes stamped with certificates from the European Coffee Brewing Centre and the Specialty Coffee Association.
Described to Esquire by one restauranteur as “our chef’s best-kept secret”, Simon Lewthwaite of Caravan Coffee Roasters agrees. “It’s perfect for preparing coffee at home, hosting groups or using in a café.”
Add 500g of ice to the reservoir, 60g of coffee and 500ml of water for brewing and it makes an epic cold summer coffee.
