Best looks from the HUGO spring/summer 2019 collection
Huge logos, chunky trainer and bold colours all played a significant part of the new revamped spring/summer 2019 collection from HUGO.
The cooler, edgier sibling to the classic menswear brand stormed the headlines at this weekend’s Berlin Fashion Week, where it showcased a collection that mirrored that impossible-to-replicate vibe of the city's thriving club scene.
Although it's a staple in so many men's wardrobes across the world, Hugo Boss is a German brand at heart. So it made sense that, for the showing of the new HUGO collection, the team decided to arrange a homecoming in Germany’s cool artistic capital.
The collection was shown in-front of 500-strong, fashion-forward crowd, including the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Winnie Harlow and male model Lucky Blue Smith. Many of the pieces fused sportswear and double-breasted suiting with bright neon colours and Lycra.
Bold hues — including shocking pink and neon orange — pervaded the collection along with plentiful “HUGO” branding; the text appeared as a chaotic graphic, keychain accessory and T-shirt print. Washed denim yielded similar bright tones, lending the collection a workwear edge that played against the functional fabrics and accessories, which included harnesses, shoulder bags, bucket hats and plenty of chunky running shoes.
