Ryan Reynolds has mastered airport style
Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 2 press tour took him all the way to Japan yesterday for the Tokyo premiere.
But before that, he had to touch down at Narita International Airport and make his way off an impressively long flight. Naturally, he looked bedraggled and jet-lagged. Just kidding! The guy looked like a million bucks. Observe:
If you need proof that wearing sweats isn't the only way to fly, look no further than this outfit. The slim chinos and T-shirt are comfortable and easy, even at 40,000 feet for nearly 12 hours. Then, once you land, you throw on a near-perfect suede jacket, lace up your cap-toe derbies, and wave to the cameras.
The look is also proof that Reynolds and his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, understand what works for the actor and are sticking with it. In this case, it's a suede jacket. We've seen him in one by Parisian label Officine Generale before, just a couple weeks ago.
The rest of us mere mortals might not have Reynolds' genetic blessings or a swarm of photographers following us around the airport, but we can still take a page from his book and put a little effort into getting dressed to fly.
Our recommendation? An outfit-making suede jacket like his. The one he wore in Japan is still unidentified at the moment, and the Officine Generale offering is sold out. But fellow Parisian brand Ami makes a damn good one, as does London-based Allsaints.
Have a nice flight.
