Disney's 'Star Wars' Park will make children of men
Disney just released a flyover video showing construction on Galaxy's Edge, the new Star Wars park at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and it seems like everything is proceeding as we have foreseen.
The video offers a drone's eye view of what will become the sprawling, 14-acre landscape of Batuu, a remote outpost planet and a new addition to the Star Wars universe. (Or maybe it's in the books. I haven't read the books.)
When it opens in 2019, Galaxy's Edge will give visitors a chance to be completely immersed in the Star Wars universe, from cantinas to droids to being wildly overcharged (in advance!) for a ride on the Millennium Falcon. And yes, there will be plenty of blue milk. In other words, you might as well order some Mickey Mouse ears and surrender to the inevitable: You're a "Disney person" now.
Check out the footage below and start saving up your credits. You're gonna need 'em.
