Ray-Ban just updated your favourite shades
There's nothing like digging into archives for modern style inspiration. Ray-Ban is really getting into it, reaching back to its classic '80s styles for its "Reloaded" program. The fifth offering to come out of the program, which launches this week, is a remake of the iconic Clubmaster.
The classic Ray-Ban shape is certainly familiar, but this old-school take on it uses design elements specifically popularized in the '80s. Two of those trends: a bi-layer acetate frame and washed lenses.
The Clubmaster is just the latest to get the remix treatment, coming after the super popular Meteor style earlier this year. All of the refreshed archival pieces have loyal followings—especially from those with a taste for retro style.
In the Clubmasters, the washed lenses are the more obvious throwback detail; it gives the lens some movement that more modern opaque colours can't. The shades are available in three colour combinations, and if you're a fan, you might want to consider scooping up all of them right now.
Time is of the essence.
