Meet Aura, the first room service robot
As a well-travelled bunch, we can tell you that nothing tops a hotel that provides a relaxing pool and a delicious breakfast, with exceptional levels of room service. The M Social hotel in Singapore will not have to worry about the latter, as they have just introduced the first ever front-of-house autonomous service delivery robot in the hotel industry.
The friendly pet-like personality makes AURA easily adored. Does not come as a surprise that the robot has already found its way into the hearts of staff and guests of the hotel.
"The inspiration behind AURA the Relay Robot is to bring convenience and delight to guests and to help staff focus on improving guest experiences," Lee Richards, Millennium Hotels and Resorts' vice president of operations, tells CNN Travel.
"As we innovate with technology and robotics, we must never forget that human touch and hospitality lie at the core of a hotel experience. AURA frees our time to allow us to be more engaged with guests at a deeper level," said Ms Anne Chong, Director of Marketing Communications at M Social Singapore.
AURA’s tablet face makes it easy to communicate with, as she serves you your breakfast in bed.
