The Bouchon Bakery debuts in Dubai
Dubai dwellers are in for a treat this summer as world-renowned chef, Thomas Keller brings his culinary excellence to Dubai with the opening of the first ever Bouchon Bakery at The Beach, Jumeirah Beach Residence.
Unlike you, who somehow manages to mess up the oh-so simple act of making toast in the morning, Keller has an impressive seven Michelin stars to his name. So expect to make this venue a part of your new morning routine with the wide selection of breakfast beverages and un-burnt pastries that they have on offer.
Whether you opt for one of Chef Keller’s custom-blended ‘TK by Equator’ coffees or traditional teas, Bouchon Bakery has also got your caffeine fix pretty much covered.
With a mouth-watering selection of freshly-made delectable delights including sandwiches, soups, quiches and salads, in addition to the brand’s famed artisanal breads and viennoiseries, there’s an abundance of light-bites for lunchtime and evening meals to appease even the fussiest of foodies at all times of the day.
Do bear in mind, however, that this is a location that’s definitely more Dukan than Atkins diet friendly.
Anyone with a sweet tooth is also fairly well catered for, with a range of classic French pastries (including Semolina Almond Financiers and Lemon Tarts) and a plethora of macarons being available on the menu for anyone who’s feeling a little indulgent.
With interiors created by famed designer Adam D. Tihany, a long-time friend and collaborator of Chef Keller’s, the bakery is a traditional interpretation of a French boulangerie, mirroring Chef Keller’s own twist on classical French and American cuisine.
In the cooler months, you can even relax at the expansive outdoor seating area, fitted with classic Maison Gatti bistro chairs and strategically placed planters that provide plenty of privacy. Because no-one really needs to see you scarfing down a croissant in the 20 minutes you’ve got for lunch.
Set within The Beach, Jumeirah Beach Residence, the Bouchon Bakery is now open from 8am to 11pm weekdays and 8am to 12am on weekends. Stay up-to-date with all upcoming activities and recipes by following the Bouchon Bakery on Instagram and Facebook. Be warned though – we wouldn’t scroll through their feed on an empty stomach.
