Dunkirk set for UAE release this Thursday

Dunkirk, the much-anticipated new cinematic endeavour from director Christopher Nolan, releases this Thursday July 27th across the UAE. The man behind such acclaimed films as Inception, Interstellar, and the entirety of the Dark Knight trilogy, Nolan’s latest appears to be another fantastic addition to his oeuvre.
Featuring an all-star ensemble cast that includes Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, and (much to your father’s dismay) Harry Styles, the film tells the story of thousands of Allied soldiers who were forced to retreat to the city of Dunkirk after the invasion of France by Nazi Germany.
Directed from his own screenplay, Christopher Nolan utilizes a mixture of IMAX and 65mm film to bring the brutal realities of the 1940 Dunkirk evacuation to the beauty of the silver screen.
With a lean running time of only one hour and 47 minutes, Dunkirk is Nolan’s shortest film since his directorial debut. Accompanied by a Hans Zimmer score, the action cuts frantically between the desperation of soldiers stranded on the land, in the sky, and at sea to deliver what promises to be an intense and immersive cinematic experience. Just forget about any plans you might have had of making a weekend trip down to Jumeirah Beach.
