Winter season has officially arrived, it might not look like it’s going to be a white Christmas from your front porch, but it sure does in Global Village. An eco-friendly ice rink called “Snowfest” has opened up for all skating enthusiasts, and amateurs, to enjoy.
It is a world-class synthetic rink, offering the same experience as a traditional ice rink minus the wet feet and chilly noses. This also means that no matter the weather, guests can enjoy an evening on the “ice” and even get caught in a snow shower!
The rink can be found at the entrance of the Carnival, all necessary equipment including skates, socks, and aids for children(and beginners), will be provided to skaters. So ring in the holiday season with your loved ones on the rink.

How to get VIP tickets to Global Village
This year, Global Village enters its 27th season and has announced the details of it’s VIP packages which were made available online from September 24.
Guests can choose between Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver VIP Packs. All Packs include VIP entry tickets, VIP parking privileges and VIP Wonder Passes which gives access to Global Village attractions including Ripley’s Believe it or Not!, the Aqua Action stunt show and the Carnival funfair.
The VIP packs, which are are being sold in a limited quantity include access to private Cabanas with butler service for up to eight people and the new Star Seating for the Aqua Action Stunt Show. VIP guests will also receive vouchers for table reservation at the Ramadan favourite, Majlis of the World.
Global Village VIP guests will also get the chance to enjoy special offers and privileges from some of the top attractions in Dubai including Inside Burj Al Arab, Sea Breeze at JBR, Roxy Cinemas, The Green Planet, Laguna Water Park, as well as Dubai Parks and Resorts.
New for this year is also a Global Village signature scented candle called ‘Wonders’. It is described as being a tribute to the wonders of the world and its many exotic scents and aromas.
Hidden inside one of the packs is a Golden Coin that will grant a lucky individual an AED 27,000 cash prize.

VIP Packs will be delivered to guests by Virgin Megastore in early October ahead of the season-opening on October 25. Guests can then activate their VIP packs by registering online. They will then be able to access their personal dashboard to manage their tickets, passes, offers and privileges on the Global Village App. The App is also the gateway to other VIP benefits including up to 50% complimentary bonus points for VIP Wonder Pass top-ups, VIP entrance for selected Carnaval Rides, table reservation service and the dedicated Concierge call center.
