Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika, a master of architectural elegance and savoir faire, is the toast of a new exhibition, ‘Master of Light, 30 Years of Georges Hobeika‘, held in Dubai this weekend. The curation marks a milestone for the couturier with an intimate homage to his legacy, showcasing 30 exceptional creations.
Held within Studio 152 in Dubai’s Marsa Boulevard, the exhibition (curated by Harper’s Bazaar Arabia) is a glowing tribute to his work that encapsulate his signature style: a flawless marriage of precision, drama, and spellbinding sparkle.
Hobeika, who launched his eponymous brand three decades ago and established himself on the world stage by showing his first Haute Couture collection in Paris in 2001, is celebrated as a pillar of Middle Eastern luxury fashion.

The featured pieces spanned his career, highlighting the maison’s extraordinary métiers d’art—from garments inspired by the 1960s Mod movement to voluminous ensembles rich with Andalusian Moroccan motifs. Each look underscored Hobeika’s unique ability to translate the Middle East’s spirit of opulence and glamour onto the most elite runways in global fashion.
The display reaffirmed why Hobeika remains one of the few Arab designers to hold the prestigious honour of being invited to join La Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. This showcase served as a powerful reminder of the couturier’s enduring vision and his role in defining modern high fashion.
The exhibition takes place from Friday October 31 until Monday November 3 at Studio 152, Marsa Boulevard, from 4PM until 1AM.
