On April 24th 2019, the much awaited conclusion to Marvel’s long-running storyline in the comic book franchise will come to an end with Avengers: Endgame.
To accommodate additional demand, Dubai’s Reel Cinemas has said it will keep certain locations open a full 24-hours on the day, to let UAE punters enjoy the three-hour long film.
As for now, Reel Cinemas at The Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, The Springs Souk, Jebel Ali Recreation Club, Al Ghurair, The Pointe, and Rove Downtown will remain open for 24 hours. Ticket prices will vary.
Endgame marks the Marvel Universe’s 22nd film in the franchise, with each one nicely playing into the other until this point. The final film in the Avengers saga (as we know it) will see many of the heroes that audiences have enjoyed for the past 11-years come to a head.
When the first trailer was released back in December, things looked pretty bleak for Iron Man Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) He was lost in space, recording his last words after the dusting of half the universe. In subsequent trailers, he’s looked better and better – and, in the final trailer before the film’s launch on the 26th – sees him reunited with the main core Avengers.
While much is still unknown about the new film – except for the fact that much of the trailer’s scenes could have been faked – it’s clear that at some point Iron Man, Captain America and Thor all come face-to-face with Thanos.
The main questions for this new film is who will survive the final encounter, and how will the Marvel Universe be changed afterwards. With new Spider-Man and Black Panther films in the works, it’s we reckon both of them get out alive. But as for the rest?
Certainly, Avengers: Endgame will have plenty of time to address all of these questions over the film's three-hour-and-two-minute length. Yes, you read that correctly.
